A "Crown Jewel" of a meal...

A week after returning from our reception and Thanksgiving in Albuquerque, Robyn and I decided to christen our fine china (Mikasa Crown Jewel Platinum. Only $99.99 a place setting, if you're looking for a gift we might enjoy...). Since we forgot to go shopping before Sunday, we rummaged through the cupboards for some fine fixin's of a meal. Here is what we came up with...

As you can see, the soft candlelight and warm Christmas decorations coupled with our fine china and tasty food created just the right touch for an elegant evening at home. Spiced cider, green salad, and beef with vegetable soup. Mmm mmm good. After finishing our scrumptious meal, the romantic atmosphere was toned down a bit as we turned back to the rest of our apartment...

Someday we'll get moved in. Someday...

  1. Yay for your blog! No worries about moving in -- you'll be moving to Palo Alto in a few months anyway right?!? (We can keep our fingers crossed! We'd love it if you lived closer to us!)
